2024 - Too Stacked Summer Block

As the Summer winds down over the next 2 months, it's time to start thinking about how stacked I am and how I have to continually move good prospects / players each year to make room on my roster. A slow start had me not progressing the way I wanted, but the second half of the year proved my team can play. Everything is still up in the air but here is how things are shaping up now.

Protecting

1 Matt Boldy
2 Nico Hischier
3 Carter Verhaeghe
4 Trevor Zegras
5 Dylan Guenther
6 Anton Lundell
7
8 Dalibor Dvorsky
9 Jimmy Snuggerud
10 Vince Dunn
11 Brock Faber
12 Thomas Harley
13 Moritz Seider
14 Denton Mateychuk

One Of

Matthew Savoie - Will be on the wing with that slug Draisaitl or McDavid in the near future. Very talented player, he continues to smash every level he plays in. I am really torn between him and Coronato.
Matthew Coronato - Moved way up the depth chart with players moving out of Calgary's system. PPG in the AHL. The Preseason last year showed what this kid can do. Puts me above my only 1 Matthew rule.

Available

1 Kirby Dach - Montreal's true 1C. Was really expecting last year to be his breakout but he was injured again. PPG though.. This is a very good young talent that is worth a gamble. I could easily regret moving on from a big centre on an up and coming team.
2 Spencer Knight - I will find a way to redraft this kid. Bob and his 10 mill are almost out the door, and he proved himself again in the AHL after he had to wash his hands all the time and pee into mason jars. May just protect him over the Matthews.

Freebies

These guys helped me reach my man game quotas as half my team was injured to start the year. Perfectly serviceable players that will be drafted again. Get them now if you would like.

3 Jordan Eberle
4 Ivan Barbashev
5 Max Domi
6 John Gibson

Dach and Coronato are both getting significant interest from multiple teams. These guys are both pre-farmed.

My initial plan was to redraft Dach but 3 teams are making this a difficult proposition. Look at that Canadians roster and who is coming, and you will understand why guys want the big center.

Coronato lit up the AHL and still continues to progress like a prospect should. 2 teams see that.

I love both these guys, but I have to hope who I am protecting has a bigger ceiling. I always make the wrong choice, so be the next to capitalize.

Putting up Dalibor Dvorsky.

This kid is a quality prospect on a thin St. Louis team. He is still a year away but if you have interest hit me up.
