Racers Deadline Block

The Racers? Sellers?

Artturi Lehkonen

Image

Quite honestly, Lehks could be good for both a contending team as some nice insurance or even to a rebuilding/middling team who's looking for a point producer who's not ancient. He's on a 60 point pace and he's under 30 (yes, that's SCHL-speak for 29 years old).

The appealing thing here though is where he's playing:
1st PP unit
1st line 5 on 5 with MacKinnon and Necas

Starting price: 1st rounder + a youngster currently playing / man games substitute

Darren Raddysh

He's not just good in a salad, folks, he puts up points, too.

In fact, he currently has as many points as Charlie McAvoy and I think we all saw what he got back in trade! In all seriousness though, the departure of Sergachev was definitely Raddysh's gain. He's currently 45th in the NHL in d-points with 23 (42 point pace) and gets some PP time to boot. At the time of this writing he's 28 years old, so certainly protectable on top of it all.

Starting price: 2nd rounder + nice to throw me a shittier d-man who might still get some man games, otherwise you can toss me an upgrade or something too

Damon Serverson

Let me just put it out there that barring some sort of crazy return, I'm only going to move one of Severson or Raddysh. They're pretty similar in terms of performance/profile, so looking for a similar type of return for Damon as I am for Darren. Not in an absolute rush to do this one, I can run it up to the deadline, but if you blow my socks off on either of these guys or it gets into some sort of bidding war because d-men are in short supply then the market will do the work here.

I still need man games, too.

Matty Beniers

Despite Sean's constant slander, Matty Beniers did win the Calder Trophy. I'm including Matty here because I've been asked about him by a number of teams and if the deal is right I would move him.

BUT...

I'm really only interested in moving him as part of some sort of consolidation deal for me where I move a few assets and get one back (yes, that's what a consolidation deal is). So I might #approach you, but feel free to hit me up if you've got an idea on something fun to work up. Very much not in a hurry to move this guy - he's the least likely to move on this list, BUT it makes sense to throw him on there if he's been coming up in conversations - and he certainly has.

Reminder: Making a deadline deal with the Racers usually ends with you in the finals.

Two down... we might be done. But have a re-read of what's there.

Would really need some man games coming back for Severson at this point, so keep that in mind.
