Re: Ovauction

If you’re gonna have a deadline, after all this time, announcing it at 8pm on a Friday? Make it tomorrow after the last game has finished. Sheesh.

Blake. Post your final here. Or you’re OUT, and I’ll take Racers.

No more texting.

Re: Ovauction

OK Kids.

I wanted to jet so I was trying to close this out.

Blake let me know he’s out with his kid and can’t really respond and ... yeah, I realize I was maybe being unfair there.

So, he’s asked me to give him

“We can extend till say 11am tomorrow? I’m out with my son. It’s hard to put this all together and genuinely think”

Uhhh? Yeah so - I’m really sorry there buddy. That sounds fine. Post it here or whatever.

Good night boys.

Sorry Blake. Shit.

Re: Ovauction

Just to be to clear ... everyone told me to wait a bit longer. Blake was on the clock and asked me to extend it to 11am.

Basically what everyone else was telling me to do.

Obviously that’s open to everyone.

I’m happy either way. There was a lot of trash talk about these players, but in truth they’re both strong deals with a lot of good pieces. Thanks Mike and Blake. It’s been a lot of fun.

Great auction Kishone. That was a lot of fun. Some big name talent coming back either way.

Re: Ovauction

Tycoons needed an extension to give their worst offer yet eh?

What the hell does a rebuilding Tony want with a 27 year old 50 point player? What an anticlimactic offer. Colour me disappointed.

Re: Ovauction

I like how the sales pitch opened with EP skells. Totally, requests an extension to offer a clearly worse offer. Congrats Mike!

Re: Ovauction

I love the part where the Racers offer is 'stuff' but the Tycoons offer is two assets lol.

Stepan? Seriously? You thought that's what will push it through? That's just embarrassing.

Re: Ovauction

Stepan is done? He’s as solid as they come.

And unfortunately Tony will take stuff because guys want me to lose. Shame. But that’s An auction you get opinions from guys that don’t give a shit if you do well.

Patrick alone should get Ovy.

Even if I accept the cuckoo for coco-puffs value of Patrick that Blake has for him:

Casey Mittelstadt, Travis Konecny, 1st in '19 (Racers) > Nolan Patrick
Charlie Coyle > Derek Stepan

That offer is worse than before. And Patrick only should if EP lands two

Monahan had 22 goals as a rookie, FYI. Patrick won't even get to 22 points.

Steps is a fine 5/6 forward but I’m not sure how Blake saw this as any kind of improvement over his previous offers or Mikes current leading bid.

I thought it’d become NP, Domi, Ellis as the upgrade over Schultz.

Re: Ovauction

Hey - I’m not going to buy into any of the MB trashing going on. Not one bit. On either side.

Guys are doing their best here.

All of these deals have really big pieces that are hard to move for any GM and hard to watch being trashed on the MB.

Just to be clear: I really like all the players involved on both sides.

This is Ovechkin. I’m taking him and his value serious too. It’s not easy to lose him. Especially when he’s really on top of his game and the league this year.

I’ll close this up at 11am

I’m happy with whatever I get here.

Big props to Mike and Blake for stepping up.

Way too many guys have been texting offers for a week without the courage to post anything.

These guys stepped up and made great offers.

This is happening.
