2017 Summer Block

Protections:
Just wanted to get something out there. Sitting at 12 protections currently. There are names here I could move (Zetterberg, Foligno, Kane) if it made sense for me in the long run. Need to get some more youth in my FWD and D cores, so may be willing to listen to something along those lines.

One of these gentlemen will be protected, it is really up in the air on who that is. Timo was called up and down quite a bit through the year never really found a groove. He will put up points, the question is when. Could package him with one of Orlov or Slavs if needed to get a deal done. Orlov was on a 40 point pace until Shatts showed up, so I expect he should be in the 30-40 range next year. Very protectable for me. Slavs is the most fun guy to own, because you make slave jokes and he had 35 SCHL points. If he gets even a sniff of PP time, I expect his numbers to increase. One of these guys will stay, someone should make that decision for me.

Only guy here that intrigues me is Brett Ritchie. The whole RW situation in Dallas is wide open now, so I am wondering if he gets a shot.
